2014 BRW Client Choice Awards
EY wins best management consulting firm
EY Australia has been named best management consulting firm in the 2014 BRW Client Choice Awards.
The awards were announced at a cocktail dinner held in Sydney in February.
The BRW Client Choice Awards are awarded to firms whose performance is rated highest by their clients in Beaton Research + Consulting’s Annual Business and Professions Study (ABPS).
Oceania Advisory Leader Bill Farrell said the award recognises Advisory’s ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service to our Advisory clients, and the headway we are making in achieving market leadership.
“That this award is decided by our clients, makes this accolade all the more rewarding for our teams. It shows that we understand our clients’ business issues and are helping them meet their challenges,” Mr Farrell said.
2011 Accounting Firm of the Year Award
CFO DealBook Accounting Firm of the Year
EY Australia has been awarded the CFO DealBook Accounting Firm of the Year Award for the third consecutive year.
All CFO DealBook 2011 Award winners were announced at a gala function in Sydney today.
The judges cited EY’s innovative services, action on gender diversity and the organisation’s commitment to the learning and development of our people as key deciding factors in winning the award.
EY Oceania CEO and Area Managing Partner, Rob McLeod, says the accolade is fantastic recognition in a highly competitive professional services market.
“To win this award three years running is particularly pleasing and testament to the ongoing efforts of everyone in our firm,” says Mr McLeod.
The Award also follows a very robust FY11 result, with EY Australia delivering a fast-paced 14.8% growth to post FY11 revenue of $1.052b.
The CFO DealBook Awards are held annually and recognise the achievements of the leaders in Australian finance.
2011 Australian Employer of Choice for Women
Equal Opportunity for Women in the Workplace Agency
We also received this citation in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004/2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
For the eleventh consecutive year, EY has been recognised by the Equal Opportunity in the Workplace Agency (EOWA) for Equal Opportunity programs that recognise and advance women in the workforce.
EY have been awarded the EOWA citation every year since the citation’s inception in 2001.
EY’s Oceania Diversity and Inclusiveness Leader Edyta Torpy said the firm’s decade of recognition from EOWA demonstrated that EY was consistently making progress in its ongoing commitment to create a diverse and inclusive organisation.
“We are thrilled that EOWA has recognised EY for the tenth consecutive year. The citation acknowledges that we have been building a culture where the individual differences of our people are celebrated and where women are supported to achieve their potential.
“We are committed to fostering an environment that enables all our people to have both a fulfilling career and balance their personal commitments,” Ms Torpy said.
Some of the areas that EY has progressed over the past year to further the success of women in the firm are:
► The introduction of gender targets to help focus efforts in achieving greater female representation at senior levels in the organisation by developing a robust pipeline of female talent
► Extending paid parental leave from 12 to 14 weeks for people with more than one and less than five years’ service, and to 18 weeks for people with five or more years’ service. As well as a $2500 ‘return to work’ investment to support returning employees with coaching, development programs and domestic assistance
► Reviewing key people processes through a diversity and inclusiveness lens to ensure that no one group is unfairly disadvantaged over another
“At EY, we believe that gender equity is inextricably linked to our success as an organisation – through providing our people with the inclusive culture that they deserve, and by providing our clients with the innovative business solutions that they expect. Our commitment is authentic and we recognise that achieving our goals is going to require a long term effort – one which we are ready to embrace,” Ms Torpy said.

Best South Australian Firm
BRW Client Choice Awards
EY Australia has received two awards at the BRW Client Choice Awards 2009, held in Sydney on 12 March 2009.
EY Area Managing Partner, CEO Australia, James Millar said being recognised as Best Accounting Firm (revenue of more than $500m) and Best South Australian Firm was particularly pleasing.
“It’s a reflection of the ongoing commitment by EY to outstanding client service,” he said.

Beaton Consulting, a member of the Australian Market and Social Research Organisation, conducted the research for the awards independently, which saw clients rate the performance of one or more professional service firms they have worked with over the past 12 months.
Clients rated firms on a range of attributes including innovation, market leadership, value for money, client care and service quality.
