Identify your interests
Take a moment to visit the Working at Ernst & Young section to learn about our service lines and identify your areas of interest. You can then apply for an entry-level opportunity in Assurance, Advisory, Transactions or Tax.
You’ll see us on campus, at school or at our offices so you have an opportunity to ask us questions. We’re at most university recruitment fairs. Our Facebook® page - Ernst & Young Careers - Australia - is a great way to get to know our firm through the eyes of our people. We also hold information evenings at our offices so you can find out more about Ernst & Young.
We recruit talented students from a range of degrees.

Apply online
Allow about 30 minutes to complete the application form. You’ll be able to save the application along the way and return to it if necessary. You can preview our application form. Please note we only accept online application forms.
You can nominate a first and second service line preference within your preferred location. If you don't meet the criteria for a role in your preferred service line, we'll consider you for your second preference. In some states, you'll be asked to consider which business unit you 'd like to work for within your preferred service line (e.g. Human Capital within Tax).
We’ll let you know when we receive your information. If your application meets our requirements, we’ll invite you for an interview.
Prepare for the interview
Prepare to talk about yourself and discuss specific experiences that help demonstrate relevant skills. We want to get to know you as an individual and discover your interests, strengths and attributes. We recommend you think about any extra-curricular activities, significant academic projects, work or life experience that will help us get to know you and assess if you’re likely to succeed at Ernst & Young.
Attend a recruitment day
You'll be interviewed by a partner and/or a manager from the service line you've expressed an interest in joining. This is a great opportunity for you to ask questions and decide whether Ernst & Young is the place for you. We may also ask you to complete a written assessment and participate in a group activity.
Review our offer
If your skills are suited to Ernst & Young, we'll make you an offer. Fast. After all, there's no time like the present to get your career off the ground. You’ll have the opportunity to ask any questions and, if you’re happy with the offer, we’ll look forward to receiving confirmation and to welcoming you on board.
Prepare to join
You’ll find a large community of people at Ernst & Young ready to welcome you. In the months before you take up your position, there’ll be opportunities to meet your peers and new colleagues. We encourage you to take advantage of these opportunities to help prepare for day one at Ernst & Young.
