Tax Services
Businesses today face an ever-growing, increasingly complex range of tax and regulatory change. Helping them navigate these difficult conditions requires a sound understanding of tax legislation, intellectual rigor and the ability to manage client relationships effectively. Tax isn’t just about filing returns - you’ll have exposure to conducting strategic tax planning or structuring more tax efficient transactions. You’ll contribute to projects that have significant implications on the way clients manage their business. If you enjoy intellectual challenges and problem solving, you’ll find tax a challenging and rewarding environment.
Expect to use your research and analytical skills, apply yourself to stay on top of the law and acquire in-depth knowledge of clients’ businesses. If a tax career with Ernst & Young is a good fit for you, we’ll provide you with the experiences, learning and coaching you need to become a successful professional.
You'll receive support and guidance to complete your Chartered Accountant qualification, a Master of Tax and/or your College of Law study. Benefit from the fact that our tax technical training program has been recognised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney.
In some of our regions you can't elect to work in a specific industry sector within Tax as a graduate, vacationer, cadet or intern. What this means is that you're likely to work across several parts of the practice and gain exposure to a wide variety of clients and business issues, rather than focus on one particular area of the business.
