EY Brisbane announces move to new 6 Star Green Star building
Wednesday, 18 May 2011 — EY Brisbane today announced its Brisbane office would be relocating to new premises at “One One One” Eagle Street in mid 2012.
EY will occupy the top five levels (47-51), taking in 360 degree views of Brisbane city, including east to Moreton Island and west to Mount Coot-tha. EY also have sky signage rights to the building.
One One One has been developed by the GTP Group and has been designed to incorporate the latest sustainable technology. The development has achieved a 6 star Green Star Office Design and is currently targeting a 6 star Green Star As Built rating and a 5 star National Australian Built Environment Rating System (NABERS) energy rating.
Commenting on the move, EY Brisbane Managing Partner Jenny Parker said the move to the new green building reaffirmed the firm’s commitment to its people and the Brisbane marketplace.
“One One One Eagle Street is a perfect fit for us as a firm with its focus on innovation and sustainability. It is a significant investment in our people as well as in sustainable work practices.”
“It was also important for us to be located close to our clients, given the financial and business heart of the city is undoubtedly in and around the Golden Triangle it made sense for us to remain close to our current location,” Ms Parker says.
Some of the building’s key sustainability features include:
- A water recycling plant
- High performance facade, automated motorised blinds and innovative heat extraction
- High efficiency heating, ventilation and cooling systems
- Co-generation design which includes a selective catalytic reduction system which reduces nitrogen oxide emissions
- Tenant smart metering for detailed reporting and analysis to allow for monitoring and control of energy consumption
- Lighting design to maximise natural daylight and reduce light pollution, high efficiency fittings and zone control across tenant floors
Other innovative design elements will deliver a state of the art indoor environment and very low ambient noise levels.
Ms Parker said she looked forward to seeing the EY’s sign join Brisbane’s skyline in 2012.
