2013 AACTA Award winners
Wednesday 30 January 2013 —EY has once again shown its support for Australian film and television’s night of nights as the independent voting observer and a major sponsor of the second annual AACTA Awards Ceremony, held at The Star in Sydney tonight.
Attending the star-studded event, EY’s Sydney Office Managing Partner, Lynn Kraus, and Asia-Pacific Media and Entertainment Leader, David McGregor, congratulated all of the 2013 AACTA Award winners and nominees on their success.
“The calibre of talent among this year’s nominees was extremely impressive and the winners, announced at tonight’s gala event as well as at the AACTA Awards Luncheon earlier this week, represent the pinnacle of film and television actors, writers and industry professionals working in Australia today. We congratulate each of them on their outstanding achievements,” Ms Kraus said.
“EY has a proud history of supporting the arts in Australia because we recognise the important role arts programs have in our communities.
"Our sponsorship of the AACTA Awards is a great example of this, demonstrating EY’s ongoing commitment to the arts and to helping all Australians to achieve their potential,” Ms Kraus said.
EY’s Asia-Pacific Media and Entertainment Leader, David McGregor, said: “EY is thrilled to have been part of such a prestigious event on Australia’s arts calendar for the second year running, helping to celebrate the passion, dedication and creativity of the talented individuals who make up our local film and television industry.
“As well as being a major sponsor of the AACTA Awards, EY also acts as independent observer for all of the important voting procedures and we are pleased to be able to fulfil such an integral role in the awards’ program.”
