Ernst & Young hosts second Sydney Cycle Day with Cadel Evans
Monday 3 December 2012 — Ernst & Young today hosted 100 business and government leaders at our second annual Sydney Cycle Day with Cadel Evans.
Australian 2011 Tour De France winner Cadel Evans and SBS Commentator Matt Keenan, led four groups of cyclists in a loop from Miramare Gardens in Terrey Hills through the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
The program included a more challenging course for experienced cyclists while catering for all levels of cycling ability, including beginners. Around 300 family members and colleagues greeted the cyclists at the finishing line.
Ernst & Young Sydney Office Managing Partner, Lynn Kraus said she was delighted to have welcomed Cadel back for Ernst & Young’s second annual Sydney Cycle Day.
“Cadel plays an important role in making our cycling days so successful with the passion and professionalism he always brings to these events,” Ms Kraus said.
“The Ernst & Young Cycle Days provide our clients and people with the unique opportunity to meet outside the office for a fun and memorable day, without sacrificing valuable time with their families.
“The thrill of having Australia’s greatest ever cyclist, Cadel Evans, ride alongside and provide handy cycling tips and hints really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for our clients and people,” she added.
A charity auction, including a signed BMC jersey donated by Cadel, was also held on the day to raise money for one of Ernst & Young’s local focus charities.
The Sydney Cycle Day was the last in this year’s series which kicked off in Perth in early November, followed by Melbourne last weekend, before today’s event in Sydney.
The Cycle Days are part of Ernst & Young’s continued relationship with Cadel Evans which includes a broader program of events for our people and clients.
