Ernst & Young joins the Brisbane CBD skyline
Monday 16 July 2012 — Ernst & Young is the latest addition to the Brisbane skyline, with the firm today officially taking up residence in its brand new offices at One One One Eagle Street and seeing its sky sign illuminated for the first time.
Ernst & Young Brisbane Managing Partner, Jenny Parker, said the move to the One One One Eagle Street development represented a new era for the firm in Queensland.
“The move to our new premises marks a significant milestone for Ernst & Young Brisbane and we are excited to see our brand up in lights as part of the CBD’s cityscape,” Parker said.
“This relocation reflects our continued investment in the growth of our business and reaffirms our commitment to our people, our clients and the wider Queensland community.”
Ernst & Young is among the anchor tenants for the GPT Group’s new 6 star Green Star development and will occupy levels 47-51 of the building’s sky rise tower, taking in 360 degree views of Brisbane and its surrounds.
The ten year lease agreement also sees Ernst & Young hold the exclusive sky signage rights for the new development.
“When selecting our new premises, it was important for us to be located close to our clients and remain in the financial and business heart of the city. In One One One Eagle Street we have found the ideal location for us to take Ernst & Young Brisbane to even greater heights.
“We were also keen to invest in our people as well as in sustainable work practices so, with its focus on innovation and sustainability, the One One One Eagle Street development is a perfect fit for us as an organisation.”
Some of the building’s key sustainability features include:
- A water recycling plant
- High efficiency heating, ventilation and cooling systems
- A lighting design that maximises natural daylight and reduces light pollution
- High performance facade, automated motorised blinds and innovative heat extraction
- Tenant smart metering to allow for detailed reporting and analysis, and help monitor and control energy consumption
“I know all of our people are excited to be part of our new working environment. The wider Brisbane team have been actively involved in preparing for the move and planning the fit-out of our new offices,” Parker said.
“I look forward to leading the team from our new offices as we continue to drive the growth of Ernst & Young in the Queensland marketplace.”
