Monday, 31 October 2011 — Ernst & Young today announced a continued relationship with Cadel Evans, Tour De France 2011 winner, which will include a broader program of events for our people and our clients over the next three years.

In announcing the new arrangement, Melbourne Office Managing Partner Annette Kimmitt said the firm was excited to be extending its relationship with Cadel following his participation in the firm’s inaugural Cycle to the Peninsula event last November in Melbourne.

“Cadel played a major role in making our cycle event last year such a success, and we look forward to the enthusiasm and professionalism he will bring to the firm across a variety of programs,” Ms Kimmitt said.

As part of the new arrangement, Cadel will:

  • Participate in Ernst & Young Cycle Days which will be held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in 2011
  • Participate in a number of events with our staff and clients to drive the firm’s commitment to leadership and well-being, including the firm’s annual ‘career milestone’ program and The Financial Review’s Corporate Cycling Challenge in Geelong on 4 December.
  • Cadel will also be involved in Ernst & Young’s long-running Entrepreneur of the Year® program including presenting the award for the best ‘emerging’ entrepreneur at the national final in Melbourne during November.

“We admire Cadel for not only being a champion in his field, but for his passion, commitment and his humility. There is no doubt he is an inspirational leader, and we believe his involvement in a select program of events at Ernst & Young will provide invaluable experiences for both our clients and our people.

“Given Cadel’s own personal commitment to optimal health and fitness, one of the areas he is keen to work with us on is to help drive our well-being programs for our people,” Ms Kimmitt said.

Ms Kimmitt said everyone at Ernst & Young was looking forward to working with Cadel more closely over the next few years.
