Wednesday 30 January 2013 - Ernst & Young today announced its Sydney office would be relocating to new premises at Mirvac Group’s 200 George Street development from 1 January 2017.

Ernst & Young has taken a 10 year lease term that will see the firm occupy approximately 28,300 square metres of office space in the new development, which will be constructed at the northern end of George Street. Ernst & Young will also hold the sky signage rights to the new building.

The 190-200 George Street site is being redeveloped by Mirvac and has been designed to meet high sustainability benchmarks, including targeting 6 Star Green Star and 5 Star NABERS Energy ratings.

Ernst & Young Oceania CEO and Managing Partner, Rob McLeod, said: “Today’s announcement marks a significant milestone for Ernst & Young and reflects our continued investment in our people, our clients and the growth of our business in the Sydney market.”

Mirvac’s CEO and Managing Director, Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz said, “We are delighted to have Ernst & Young as our anchor tenant for our premium grade 200 George Street development, which we believe will provide significant benefits to the northern part of the Sydney CBD.”

Ernst & Young Sydney Managing Partner, Lynn Kraus, said: “The move to 200 George Street will see us well positioned within the financial and business hub of the city.”

McLeod and Kraus said they looked forward to the move and to driving the continued growth of the Ernst & Young Sydney practice.
