EXKi elected "L’Entreprise de l’Année 2010"
Brussels, 25 October 2010 – 6:30 PM. EXKi is the winner of the fifteenth edition of “L’Entreprise de l’Année”. “L’Entreprise de l’Année” is organised by Ernst & Young, in partnership with L’Echo and BNP Paribas Fortis. The company EXKi was chosen as the winner from five companies nominated this jubilee year: CAMELEON, COP & PORTIER, EXKi, IRIS GROUP and STASSEN. The famous award was given to the winner this Monday evening by HRH Prince Philippe of Belgium.
The chain of high-quality fast food restaurants, EXKi offers its customers natural and fresh products throughout the day. Established in 2000, this Brussels company has made health its main commitment. Present in the majority of the major cities in Belgium, the company is also developing internationally. It has also opened restaurants in prestigious cities like Paris, Luxembourg, Turin and Milan, to welcome an ever-increasing clientele.
Nicolas Steisel and Frédéric Rouvez, the managing directors of EXKi, received the award from HRH Prince Philippe.
Jubilee of a prestigious award
This is the fifteenth consecutive year that Ernst & Young has organised the election of the French-speaking edition of “L’Entreprise de l’Année” in Belgium. Since 1996, Ernst & Young has honoured companies that stood out by their spectacular growth and excelled in terms of entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, openness to the world, strategy and perseverance. "For this jubilee edition, the experts at Ernst & Young were impressed by the qualities and ambitions of this Brussels company which – in just a few years – succeeded in distinguishing itself through remarkable performance. The Jury awards EXKi
In order to be a candidate for “L’Entreprise de l’Année”, several strict fundamental criteria must be met. Candidate companies are evaluated in the light of these selection criteria and are subsequently subject to a quantitative and qualitative assessment carried out by Ernst & Young. After examination of these complete files, five companies were finally nominated as finalists. The member of the jury selected EXKi as “L’Entreprise de l’Année 2010”.
"We had very good candidates for this Jubilee and the choice was hotly debated. In a very traditional sector, the company EXKi succeeded in creating a particularly innovative concept of a chain of fast food restaurants that integrates perfectly into the zeitgeist. This original concept is now exported and is creating value for Belgium. The Belgian turnover has tripled over 5 years. Personnel and cash flow followed, which translates into very professional management," emphasised the president of the jury, Jean Stéphenne.
“In just a few years, EXKi succeeded in imposing its concept of sustainable development, with an impact on the health and well-being of clients. Combining both excellent financial performance, environmental and ethical considerations, international development and a cohesive management team that has surrounded itself with good colleagues, EXKi is a great winner for the 15th edition of the competition," concludes Jean Stéphenne.
