Our Global Executive

Our Global Executivefocuses on strategy, execution and operations, so that we deliver on the promise we make to our clients — to deliver seamless, consistent, high-quality client service, worldwide.

Jim Turley, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, leads the Global Executive. The other members are John Ferraro, Chief Operating Officer; our four Global Managing Partners (for People, Quality and Risk Management, Markets, and Operations and Finance); the leaders of our three global Service Lines (AABS, Tax and TAS); and our five Area Managing Partners.

Meet our Bulgarian practice leaders

John Mystakidis

 

John Mystakidis is Country Managing Partner of Ernst & Young Bulgaria and he is also responsible for the Assurance and Advisory Business Services Sector. John has joined the Assurance Practice in Bulgaria in July 2008, after working for 6 years as a Partner at EY Greece. Prior to EY he was working for Andersen in Greece, holding the position of Partner in IFRS company branch. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Scientific Board Greek Association of Certified Public Accountants (SOEL). John has a wide range of experience in reporting and primary issuance of financial statements under IFRS and conversion of financial statements to IFRS as well as in supervising audits and due diligence reviews of major Greek multinational companies.

Diana Nikolaeva is a Partner, heading the Transaction Advisory Services Department in Ernst & Young Bulgaria. Diana has over 20 years extensive experience in M&A, financial analysis, business valuation, investment consulting, restructuring and privatization.  Diana is a member of the CFA Institute and a CFA charter holder since 2004. She is also a licensed business appraiser, member of the management board of the Bulgarian Association of Management Consulting Organizations, chairwoman and a member of the Management board of the Association of the Professional Valuers.

Nikolay Garnev is a Partner in the Assurance & Advisory Business Services practice of Ernst & Young Audit, Head of Financial Services Institutions Specialised Group. Nikolay has extensive experience in providing professional services to some of the largest financial institutions in South-East Europe. His service area of expertise focuses primarily on assurance and advisory services for banking, insurance, leasing, asset management and investment property companies. He is a Chartered Certified Accountant, qualified under the International Stream of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, United Kingdom and a Bulgarian registered auditor, member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Bulgaria.

Laszlo Szakal  is Head of Tax and Legal in Bulgaria. An experienced chartered accountant and certified tax advisor, he joined  Ernst & Young in 2002, and was admitted to the partnership in 2004. Laszlo has over 16 years of tax and accounting experience. For the past year, he has been working with Ernst & Young 's Tax team in Kiev to develop the Ukrainian Transaction Tax practice and enhance Business Tax Compliance offerings of Ernst & Young. Prior to joining the Ukrainian tax practice, he was a tax partner in the Hungarian office and the head of the transaction tax practice of the Hungarian firm and the Central European South Area Of Ernst & Young. Laszlo has significant experience in due diligence investigations, tax modeling international tax structuring and tax compliance matters.

Trevor Link has joined Ernst & Young Bulgaria as a Tax and Legal partner. Trevor has had extensive experience since 1990 as a partner in building and developing integrated tax and legal practices in Central and Eastern Europe and has previously been based in Budapest, Moscow, Almaty, Zagreb and most recently Kiev. Trevor will in particular be responsible for expanding the range of Human Capital services provided in Bulgaria and will also undertake some regional responsibilities for Ernst & Young. He graduated in law from the University of Cambridge in 1981 and is qualified in England as a barrister, chartered accountant, chartered tax advisor and as an accredited mediator.
