She has practiced exclusively in the tax field for 26 years and in transaction tax for seven years. She has led the transaction tax services on many public and private acquisitions and divestitures, including a number of large cross border takeovers of Canadian public companies and the purchase or sale of private companies to strategic parties or financial sponsors. Elise also has extensive experience advising on infrastructure projects. A chartered accountant and fellow chartered accountant, she has an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow . Elise is a member of the Society of Tax and Estate Planning.

He also maintains a good working relationship with senior tax officials at the Canada Revenue Agency and has been a part-time lecturer at the University of Waterloo's Master of Tax program.
