Global Vice Chair – Assurance
Christian leads our global Assurance practice, which is focused on providing our clients, investors and the global capital markets with timely, relevant and transparent financial reporting. This is of increasing importance in today's challenging business environment, in both the developed and emerging markets.
Christian joined Ernst & Young in 1978 and has held a number of leadership roles.
In 2008 he was appointed Deputy Managing Partner and Markets leader for our new EMEIA Area, which brings together more than 60,000 people in 87 countries across Europe, the Middle East, India, and Africa. He previously led our global Assurance and Advisory Business Services (AABS) practice.
Christian has served as Quality and Risk Management leader of our former Continental Western Europe Area. He has also led our Global Financial Services and AABS practices in France, and was Professional Practice Director. Christian has been a member of the Global Public Policy Committee, and was previously a member of the Executive Committee of the French National Institute for listed companies. He has many years of client-service experience and remains a Client Service Partner on key EY accounts.
Christian graduated from ESCP, the European School of Management in Paris. He is a Chartered Accountant registered with the OEC (Institute of Chartered Accountants) in Paris, and a Statutory Auditor registered with the Versailles Court of Appeal.
Christian enjoys travelling, the arts, cinema and music, and plays the piano.
