The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards program is one of the world’s most prestigious business accolades for entrepreneurs. Recognised globally, the awards honour the most outstanding entrepreneurs who inspire others with their vision, leadership and achievement.

Created in the United States in 1986, our EY Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) awards program has grown to more than 140 cities in 50 countries and territories, with awards presented to hundreds of the most successful and innovative entrepreneurs in the world. Past winners have included business luminaries such as Michael Dell of Dell Computer, Howard Schultz of Starbucks, Pierre Omidyar of eBay.

Unlike other business awards programmes, which take place at a local and national level, EOY is unique in that national winners will go on to represent their countries at an international awards ceremony to celebrate their leadership and accomplishments. In all, over 50 national award winners from around the world will face a distinguished panel of judges, comprising past winners and business leaders to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year (WEOY) Award.

The China program was launched in 2006 and has become a widely recognized awards program in the country that honors bold entrepreneurs who achieve success by combining ability with opportunity. In particular, the program recognises the benefits that entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial spirit bring to the economy of China, by creating employment opportunities and enhancing competitiveness of Chinese enterprises. Past winners included Richard Samuel Elman of Noble Group, Liu Yonghao of New Hope Group, Cho Tak Wong of Fuyao Glass Industry Group, Li Shufu of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, Vincent Lo of Shui On Group and Ma Weihua of China Merchants Bank. Among them, Cho Tak Wong was named the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009.

EY is pleased to announce the launch of the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 China awards program. The 2013 country winners will go on to represent China at an international awards ceremony next year in Monte Carlo, Monaco, where they will compete for the prestigious title of EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year.
