Entrepreneur Of The Year China

I am very pleased to announce that the eighth Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year China awards are now open for nominations.

Climate change, energy shortage and increased labor cost have become a wake-up call for entrepreneurs in China and around the world to adopt a new approach to measure, enhance and communicate the value of their companies. Investors nowadays tend to evaluate a company by the integrated success of its business activities together with its environmental and social impacts. Companies that can create long-term value are in general more favorably perceived by the stakeholders.

Sustainability of an enterprise is the key driver for the management to apply new technology, optimize efficiency, develop new products and adopt new business models to improve their competitiveness. Ultimately, sustainable development challenges the management to innovate. Through innovation, entrepreneurs not only transform the business and the industry but also create a long-lasting positive impact on their market and their society.

As a distinctive professional services organization, Ernst & Young is committed to doing its part in building a better working world. Our purpose resonates with the theme of EOY China this year - Innovation makes a better society.

We view our role in society in a similar way as many successful entrepreneurs in China do. We want to identify these like-minded entrepreneurs out there, recognize their achievement and help them sustain their development. Together, we will become a stronger force in creating a better society for our future generations.

If you know business leaders who share this belief, please nominate them for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2013 China awards.
