Chairman's message

On behalf of Ernst & Young, I would like to congratulate the winners of this year’s Entrepreneur Of The Year China awards on their exceptional achievements.

It has been a difficult year for the global economy and the road ahead is still uncertain and full of challenges. In the rough times, our entrepreneurs successfully fought the downturns to drive growth and achieve collaborative success.

We saw our entrepreneurs adopting different strategies to consolidate their business. Instead of aggressive expansion, many of them invested in branding, R&D, service quality and human capital. The strong foundation they built today will enable sustainable growth in the future. Some of our entrepreneurs were brave enough to challenge convention. They reinvented traditional businesses and adopted innovative approaches to bring the companies to the next level.

Our entrepreneurs were increasingly aware of the well-being of the employees, the environment and the community. They established schools, built roads and took part in poverty relief in the community. This is often a win-win strategy which helps enhance the talent pool, improve operating efficiency and engage the employees – a growth driver in itself for the business.

Our winners this year all demonstrate outstanding entrepreneurship and are successful leaders in their respective fields. This is the spirit we value very much at Ernst & Young. We are proud to be their companion and support on their road to achieving great success.
