Financial Services Breakfast Briefings
Financial instruments: new IFRS developments for 2011 Since our last breakfast briefings in January, the sea of financial instruments accounting has continued to change. The International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) has issued its Exposure Draft (ED) on hedge accounting, offsetting and a revised impairment model.
We will discuss the revised impairment model, further insights on hedge accounting and offsetting - this will be of particular interest to any financial institutions affiliated with US entities. The briefings will also cover some of the likely implications for your business, and consider how financial institutions should respond to the proposals.
Our breakfast briefings will help CFOs and controllers, particularly from financial institutions, to understand the key elements of the proposals, the significant practical application challenges and the possible impact on your business.
