CSR Challenge - Together we make a better world

Highlights

  • Cadets will be invited to join the CSR Challenge.
  • Cadets will be motivated to live up to their full potential and excel in CSR Challenge.
  • High performing Cadets will be offered internship in Mainland China or Hong Kong, and an opportunity to particiate in Ernst & Young's international conference.
  • There are three phases - Research, Project Day and CSR Challenge - Finale.

Phase 1: Research (22 December 2011)

  • Cadets were provided with a research topic related to corporate social responsibility (CSR) on 22 December and required to work on their own before the competition. No written report was required.

Phase 2: Project day (9 January 2012)

  • The morning session began with experts delivering some learning insights and inspirations.
  • In the afternoon,students were given instructions and divided into teams for a 30-minute group discussion on a case related to the research project.
  • Each team should come up with a solution / conclusion.
  • An assessor was assigned to each discussion group where outstanding students were short-listed for the CSR Challenge - Finale.

Phase 3: CSR Challenge - Finale (9 February 2012)

  • The candidates were divided into teams where each team was required to come up with an implementation plan of a selected research project.
  • Each team did a 10-minute presentation, followed by a 10-minute Q&A by the competing teams.
  • All participants should be involved in the overall 20-minute team presentation and raise questions to other teams.
  • Oral presentation was evaluated by judges and/or advisors.

50% of good performing Cadets will be awarded internship:

  • Top 10% Cadets - awarded internship in our Shanghai or Beijing offices with accommodation.
  • Top 5% Cadets - awarded to represent Hong Kong regions to attend Ernst & Young Annual International Intern Leadership Conference at Orlando, US.
  • Other good performing Cadets – awarded local internship offers.

Top teams

Top teams will be awarded attractive cash prize:

  • Champion – HK$30,000
  • 1st runner-up – HK$15,000
  • 2nd runner-up – HK$10,000

The best team

  • Best Teaming will be awarded cash prize of HK$5,000.
