Dr. King is a former U.S. Naval Officer; President of Harvard Business School Association of Hong Kong; Chairman of the Association of Honorary Consuls in Hong Kong & Macau SAR; Standing Committee Member of Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; and Council Member of the Baptist University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Dr. King is a graduate of the University of Michigan, BSEE; New York University, MSEE; Harvard Business School, AMP; and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, PhD (Finance).

Wayne is Managing Director and the Head of Carlyle Asia Growth Partners (CAGP) advisory team. He started Carlyle's growth capital business in Asia (the first such business for Carlyle globally) when he joined the firm in 2004. Under his leadership, he has built CAGP into one of the leading growth capital platforms in Asia, and currently manages four USD funds and the Carlyle/Fosun RMB Fund.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Wayne spent seven years at Warburg Pincus, where he was a managing director, the head of technology investments for Asia (including Japan) and a member of the Global Information Technology Group and Global Communications Group.

Wayne holds a Juris Doctor from the Harvard Law School, an MBA from the Harvard Business School, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science summa cum laude in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.

Fanglu is the Senior Managing Director of CITIC Capital, a leading China-focused investment management and advisory firm. He is currently serving as Chief Investment Officer of CITIC Kazyna Investment Fund I.

Fanglu has 20 years of experience in capital markets, corporate finance, financial engineering and risk management. He has led several major capital raising transactions for the China Ministry of Finance and other major corporations. Fanglu was the former Head of Product Marketing and Sales for China at HSBC, a Director in Investment Banking and Debt Capital Markets at Merrill Lynch Asia, a Vice President at Citibank Hong Kong and an Executive Director at Sakura Global Capital.

Fanglu earned his MA in Statistics from the University of Chicago, his BS in Mathematics and a BA in Journalism from Fudan University.

Li Jingzhen is the Director of the Offering and Listing Department for the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE). The SSE is the preeminent stock market in mainland China in terms of number of listed companies, number of shares listed, total market value, tradable market value, securities turnover in value, stock turnover in value and the T-bond turnover in value.

As the organization has continued to grow, so has Li Jingzhen’s role and responsibilities. He has been with the SSE for almost 17 years. While in charge of the Listed Companies department he supervised companies as they listed. He has also led the Business Development department’s marketing team. He has proven experience with IPO and company refinance applications, and was part of the leadership of the Products Development Department with a focus on SSE member supervision and business development.

Mr. Li majored in International Finance at the East China Normal University, and earned his Master’s Degree in 1997.

Dr. Liu founded Neusoft from the campus of NEU in 1991. Under his leadership, Neusoft has become a leading IT solution and service provider in China and employs more than 20,000 professionals. Neusoft became the first listed software company in China in 1996.

Throughout his career, Dr. Liu has been awarded with numerous honors, including China Best Business Leader, Asia Innovator of the Year at the CNBC Asia Business Leaders Awards, CCTV’s Top Ten China Economic Person of the Year and Country Winner of EY Entrepreneur Of The YearTM China 2010.

While at HP, Peter founded the HP Mobile e‐Services Bazaar, a global innovation and corporate partnership program that Booz Allen Hamilton declared an industry benchmark. Peter is also a co‐founder and the original initiator of MobileMonday. In 2011, Time Magazine recognized Peter as one of the most influential people in the world in their TIME 100 Listing.

She is also a member of the Blessed Joseph Vaz Trust, a charitable institution, the Young Leaders Steering Committee and the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets Steering Committee of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, the country’s largest business chamber.

In 2003, she was the youngest intern to work under US Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton and the Former US President Bill Clinton. She is a graduate of St. James’s & Lucie Clayton College and Keele University in the UK.

Jennifer is the Chief Financial Officer of Baidu Inc., a Chinese-based web services company headquartered Beijing. She has served as the CFO for 6 years and is in charge of finance and accounting, HR, marketing and communications, and purchasing.

Baidu became the first Chinese company to be included in the NASDAQ 100 index and has a market capitalization of almost US$55 billion. The company currently has more than 21,000 employees and is considered one of the most successful internet startups by market capitalization, revenue and growth.

Prior to joining Baidu, she served in a variety of leadership roles and has been recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of “Asia's 25 Hottest People in Business” and was named one of “The World’s Most Powerful Women” by Forbes in 2013. Jennifer earned her MBA degree from the University of British Columbia and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tsinghua University in China.

Steve has more than 20 years of executive experience in Asia’s insurance and financial services sector and a wealth of knowledge in accounting, risk management and finance. He has worked as an auditor, advisor and consultant and has strong global relationships in the life insurance industry and regulatory environment.

Steve is former chairman of the Expert Panel on Insurance of the Hong Kong Institute of CPAs and former chairman of the British School in Tokyo. He earned his BS degree from the University of Southampton, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

In addition to his current role, Patrick is President of the China Momentum Fund and President of the Pramerica-Fosun China Opportunity Fund. He sits on the Board of the Fosun-Carlyle Equity Investment Fund, as well as several Fosun Group portfolio companies. Patrick is also the Chairman of Forbes China and Chairman of Fosun Media.

In his current role with McDonald’s, Kenneth is responsible for one of the fastest growing regions in the McDonald’s system with direct responsibility for mainland China and regional responsibility for Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

Kenneth is behind the China Bigger, Better and Faster strategy, which has doubled the business in store expansion to past 2,000 units with sales crossing US$2.5billion.He has also led the development of longer-term sustainable strategies in brand building, supply chain, organization, systems and infrastructure.

Kenneth started his McDonald’s career in marketing and worked his way through the various functions culminating in his role as Managing Director for the Singapore Business. While continuing to lead the Singapore market, he later had added responsibilities as the Regional Manager of Malaysia, Taiwan and Korea.

Kenneth earned his BA in Economics from Pomona College and his degree in Hamburgerology from McDonald’s Hamburger University. He currently holds the rank of Captain in the Singapore National Service Infantry.

Herb was named the 2002 EY Entrepreneur Of The YearTM national winner in the United States. He was elected to the National Kitchen and Bath Hall of Fame, the National Housing Hall of Fame and the Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame.

Patrick has more than 27 years of extensive global general management experience, with particular expertise in the China market. He started his career as an engineer focused on product development and operations, including developing alphanumeric paging and two-way paging businesses. Throughout his career he has held various global leadership positions and has held key management positions with increasing responsibility for the sales, marketing and development.

He holds a BSEE degree from Tatung Institute of Technology in Taiwan and an MSEE degree from Tennessee Tech University in the US.

When Ben, the founder and President of OSPOP, moved to Shanghai he was fascinated by the simple rubber-soled shoes worn by the labor force around the city. Working with a team of designers, Ben founded OSPOP, a company that makes workwear, sneakers, work shoes and bags.

It is Ben’s belief that his products can serve as a cultural bridge into and out of China; into China for curious global consumers and out of China’s emerging creative community. Ben’s personal interests in design, world affairs and sociology, together with a deep understanding of contemporary China, serve the brand in packaging content and, in turn, connecting with buyers around the world.

As a believer in education, Ben set up an education fund to send qualified high school seniors to university. With each pair of shoes or bag sold, OSPOP makes a donation to provide financial assistance to students who would otherwise be unable to pay for their university studies.

Yao is the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Daqo New Energy Corp., a Chinese-based company that manufactures high-efficiency, low-cost solar PV products and high-quality polysilicon that is used to create ingots, wafers, cells and modules for PV solar power solutions.

Yao has extensive experience in the electronic development and manufacturing industry and has worked in the semiconductor-related high-tech field for more than 20 years. His specialty is in materials science, process equipment and process integration.

Yao holds more than 20 US patents and has authored or co-authored more than 40 technical articles and papers. He received his PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, his Master’s degree in Materials Science from Tongji University and the Chinese Academy of Science & Technology Management, and his Bachelor’s degree in Theoretical Physics from Shanghai University for Science and Technology. Yao was selected as one of the winners of the EY Entrepreneur Of The YearTM China Awards in 2011.

Diana has proven experience in the field and has led the investigations of a series of companies seeking IPO with key operations in China, about allegations of overstatement of revenue, tax and other concerns during her tenure. In addition, she has also assisted clients in their response to allegations concerning fund embezzlement by employees, falsified contracts, false declarations and addressing corruption-related challenges.

Diana has also advised clients in a variety of capacities including internal control compliance reviews, fraud-related training, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) pre-acquisition due diligence and risk assessments.

Diana is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario - Richard Ivey School of Business.

Veronica is currently the Vice President for China at Tesla Motors Inc., an electronic vehicle manufacturer based in California. The company has 31 stores and service locations worldwide, employs more than 2,000 professionals and has more than 2,300 emission-free vehicles on the streets in 37 countries.

In December 2013, Veronica joined Tesla as Vice President in charge of Tesla’s China operations and prior to this acted as general manager responsible for education and enterprises at Apple for the Greater China region. Veronica has held leadership positions at both McKinsey & Company, Motorola and Apple.

At Tesla, Veronica will play an important role in Telsa’s plan to begin manufacturing Tesla vehicles in China in the next three or four years. Local production in the world’s biggest auto market would allow Tesla to sell cars at cheaper prices by avoiding China’s 25% import tariff.

Veronica received her Bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Yale University and her PhD in Industry Engineering Operation Research from University of California, Berkeley.
