Volunteers from Ernst & Young help out again
Prague, 19 October 2009 – At the beginning of October forty Ernst & Young employees participated in the third annual charity event known as the Ernst & Young Community Day. The event offers company employees the opportunity to participate in various community projects in the Czech Republic by holding out a helping hand to those in need. This year they helped out at the civic association Zajíček na koni (Bunny on a Horse), which offers free horse rides to physically or mentally handicapped children and children from socially disadvantaged families or foster care.
“Helping the community is one of the priorities of our company’s social responsibility program. We are all part of various communities and voluntary work is an opportunity for us to actively assist them,”; says Magdalena Souček, Country Managing Partner at Ernst & Young, Czech Republic. “In the past the opportunity to be involved in charitable activities during the Community Day always met with a very positive response from our employees, many of whom are already involved individually in similar activities in their localities. We are very happy to be able to assist a good cause.”
