Searching for tomorrow’s tax talents
Are you intrigued by tax advisory? Are you looking to solve non-standard tasks? Are you ready to bring your theoretical knowledge into practice? And will you graduate in law or economics within 18 months? Then EY’s Young Tax Professional of the Year is your next step.
Do you accept the challenge?
The competition runs in two stages – nationally and internationally. The national competition takes place on 27 March 2014. Divided into teams, you will solve a critical tax case and present your findings to a jury consisting of a senior EY tax leader, university professors and leading tax experts. The winner will represent Denmark in the international contest taking place in Amsterdam in December 2014.
Your gateway to employment
This is a unique opportunity to strengthen your professional network and kick-start your career. As the competition progresses, you will establish relationships with Denmark’s leading tax students and tax experts. For two of last year’s contestants, their participation landed them a job as they joined EY after their 5-week internships.
Read more about last year’s winner, Steffen Strande Olsen, in our Career Magazine U&Future (pdf, 1,3 MB).
The deadline for registration is 11 March 2014.
About Young Tax Professional of the Year 2014
EY’s Young Tax Professional of the Year is an international tax contest allowing successful tax students to test and demonstrate their technical and professional tax skills.
Students from all over the world are encouraged to attend. The competition runs in two stages.
Stage 1 – National contest
You will compete against the best tax minds in Denmark to become the national finalist. You and your team members will solve a case centered around corporate tax and spiced with other relevant tax disciplines such as human capital and indirect tax. The national winner will be appointed by a jury. Excel here and you may win the title and advance to the international finals in Amsterdam.
Stage 2 – International finals
In the course of the international contest, national finalists will work closely with young professionals from other cultures and backgrounds from across the world. You will be presented with challenges in the form of case studies and be interviewed by the expert panel, who will eventually select three finalists. The winner will be announced at the prestigious awards ceremony.
This year’s international finals will held in Amsterdam in December.
