Egypt is located in North Africa and includes the Sinai Peninsula, a land bridge to Asia. It covers an area of about 1,001,450 square kilometers (386,560 sq mi). Egypt is the most populous country in the Middle East and the second-most populous on the African continent, with an estimated 78 million people.
The majority of the population comprises of Muslims. The national language of Egypt is Arabic, although English is widely used by most businesses. The local time is GMT+2 hours.
