Shared Services Center

Ernst & Young Shared Services Center started its operations in 2002 in Thiruvananthapuram in a highly professional and technology-centric environment.  The Center has been successfully serving a multitude of industries through 19 Ernst & Young Middle East offices in 15 countries.

The Shared Services Center is equipped with an excellent workplace setting and facilities that match international standards. The resources, knowledge and skills along with world class telecommunication network and easy connectivity around the globe provide the right backdrop to effectively address challenging business objectives.

The highly skilled and experienced professional staff at the Center, comprising chartered accountants, business and management professionals and engineers possesses vast knowledge and expertise in a variety of areas.  Their versatility and experience has enabled the Center to successfully work with clients from sectors ranging from banking and capital markets, oil and gas, real estate, insurance, media and entertainment to technology and telecommunications.  The Center regularly follows various workforce development programs, translating development into enhanced value, quality and client satisfaction.

The Center’s quality management system meets high industry standards. This has enabled them to fully optimize their information security management and quality of work in line with the international code of practice for information security management (ISM).  The Center manages client information and data in a highly secured environment, meeting all the security norms of ISM. Industry recognitions and certifications, such as SEI CMM L3, ISO 9001:2000, ITIL, PCMM and BS7799 stand testimony to the quality the Center has been delivering since its inception.

Information Technology Services (ITS)
The Center offers a wide array of IT solutions to clients across the diverse key industry verticals. This includes application engineering, infrastructure management, end-user services, security services, quality assurance and testing and innovations. The seamless, innovative and fully managed IT solutions are designed to mitigate risk as well as to reduce cost of ownership significantly. The services are based on well-defined service level agreements, which are flexible and proactive to changing business conditions.

Business Process Services (BPS)
The Center renders a wide range of business services and solutions in the core business areas of different industries. The Center has helped Ernst & Young Middle East offices to optimize their business process environment through high quality deliverables, tailored to customer requirements.  The service lines, under BPS include Creative Business Services, Procurement/Asset Management, Administrative Services, Transition Management, Quality & Risk Management, Engagement Administration Support, HR Services and Financial and Accounting Services.

Knowledge Process Services (KPS)
Under Knowledge Process Services, the Center provides cutting-edge services with end-to-end solutions to different business issues in areas of accounting, auditing, tax, transactions and knowledge management.  Our industry insights on various areas contribute to the timely service development and innovation, adding up to our clients’ competitive advantage in the market. The service lines include Assurance (audit support), Tax, Advisory, Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) and a number of essential business service offerings from the EY Knowledge organisation.
