Ernst & Young holds Growing Beyond Summit 2012 in Doha

Doha 07 September 2012: Ernst & Young’s Growing Beyond Summit 2012 will be held under the patronage of HE Sheikh Hamad Bin Jassim Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar. The summit will take place on the 16th and 17th October 2012 at the Ritz-Carlton in Doha and will feature Kaspar Villiger, Former President of Switzerland and former Chairman of UBS Bank as a key speaker.

On Qatar being the host of the inaugural event, Firas Qoussous, Office Managing Partner, Ernst & Young Doha, says: “I am full of optimism for the role this country will play in the growing stature of the GCC and the Arab world. We are thrilled to host the Growing Beyond Summit here in Qatar, one of the fastest growing economies in the world.”

Notable speakers include Hassan Al-Thawadi, General Secretary Qatar 2022, Dr. Nasser Saidi, former Chief Economist at Dubai International Finance Center (DIFC), John Walker, Chairman and Chief Economist at Oxford Economics; Andrew Stevens, Group CEO of Commercial Bank of Qatar and Adel Abdullah Ali, Chief Executive Officer and Board Member, Air Arabia.

The summit aims to highlight the growing economic influence and potential in MENA. Itwill also feature roundtable discussions on various sectors including Oil & Gas, Retail, Consumer Products, Private Equity, Aviation, Financial services, Family business, Telecom and MENA and the global economy.
