Managing Partner – US Firm Steve is Americas Managing Partner of Ernst & Young and Managing Partner of the US Firm, Ernst & Young LLP. Steve is a member of both the Americas Executive and Global Executive. In the Americas, Ernst & Young operates in 30 countries. Steve also represents Ernst & Young in the US and the Americas in maintaining regulatory relationships and as Executive Sponsor for inclusiveness.
Previous experience Steve has been with Ernst & Young for over 30 years. He has served as audit partner for various global financial institution clients and senior advisory partner on many of Ernst & Young's largest clients. Steve was previously Managing Partner of one of Ernst & Young's largest business units, the Financial Services Office, for six years before becoming Managing Partner for the US and Americas.
Credentials Steve graduated from Colgate University with a BA in Mathematical Economics and from the Stern School at New York University with an MBA in Accounting and Finance. Steve and his wife Kate actively support a number of charities, and Steve is actively involved in the development and support of Ernst & Young's Corporate Responsibility initiatives. Steve is a member of the Board of Trustees of Carnegie Hall, the Board of Trustees of Colgate University, the Board of Trustees of the Financial Accounting Foundation, the Board of the Partnership for New York City and the Board of Governors of the Center for Audit Quality.
Interests Hobbies and interests include golfing, skiing, and enjoying family activities.
Steve and Kate have four children and reside in Pleasantville, NY.
