In order to better inform senior managers and the decision-making process, virtually all respondents report increased focus on enterprise stress testing as well as creating and implementing new stress testing methodologies.
Perhaps the most significant shift discussed is the growing interest in utilizing stress testing as a strategic management tool rather than purely for compliance or risk management purposes.
But to become a truly effective management tool, most banks advocated that stress testing be integrated and standardized across business lines, types of risk and asset classes. This means creating new reports that incorporate stress testing results for senior managers, boards and other stakeholders.
