A great market opportunity Video 1: A great market opportunity
Mexico is the second-largest economy in Latin America, Tiburcio points out. Its 43 free trade agreements give it access to 60% of global GDP and roughly 1 billion consumers. The North American Free Trade Agreement is a particularly important asset. Since it began, foreign direct investment in Mexico has risen dramatically. There are very interesting opportunities in industries like energy, infrastructure and manufacturing, taking advantage of the international agreements and competitive labour costs. Despite this, there are still challenges in terms of security.
Innovation is high in the agenda Video 2: Innovation is high in the agenda
Mexico has not been known in the past as an innovative country, but this is changing rapidly due to a series of programs to foster entrepreneurship and innovation from both the government and Mexican companies. There is a major interest from Mexican companies to boost innovation and seize the opportunities in the global markets.
Talent available and an inclusive culture Video 3: Talent available and an inclusive culture
With more than 130 million people, and more than 65% under 30 years old, it is a massive customer opportunity for any company. In regards to talent, there is a strong source of talent from a wide range of good quality universities, and people with the right skills for all types of industries. Furthermore, Mexico is a very inclusive environment, where people from all backgrounds and interests come together within a respectful environment.
