Katrina Kimpel

Ernst & Young LLP

Katrina A. Kimpel is a partner in the Professional Practice group of Ernst & Young LLP. In this position, Katrina is responsible for consulting with engagement teams on technical accounting and reporting matters, monitoring activities of standard-setting bodies and drafting publications, primarily related to accounting for income taxes.

Katrina previously served as a Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant of the SEC. Prior to her fellowship, Katrina served in the firm’s National Professional Practice group and as an auditor in the Dallas, Texas office.

Katrina holds a bachelor of business administration degree and a master in professional accounting degree, both from The University of Texas at Austin. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a licensed CPA in Texas, the District of Columbia and New York.

Tom Sciametta

Ernst & Young LLP

Tom Sciametta is a partner in the Professional Practice Group of Ernst & Young LLP where he focuses on business combinations and consolidation related matters. Prior to joining Professional Practice, Tom was an audit partner in New York where he worked with transaction oriented companies and supervised the audits of large multi-national engagements in both the public and private sectors.

Tom has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting and Information Systems from Fairfield University. He is a licensed CPA in New York.

Richard Lynch

Ernst & Young LLP

Rick is a Partner in the Professional Practice Group of Ernst & Young LLP located in New York. Rick has over 31 years of experience serving Ernst & Young’s insurance clients. Rick’s area of insurance knowledge includes all aspects of the industry, life/health, property/casualty, managed care/healthcare, and reinsurance. Rick is an insurance accounting expert in US GAAP, statutory insurance accounting, and International Financial Reporting Standards. Rick is the Chair the global Insurance Technical Group for the EY organization. Rick also is the current Chair of the AICPA’s Insurance Expert Panel.

Rick is a CPA and graduated from the State University of New York at Albany with a B.S. degree in Accounting. Rick is a member of the AICPA and the New York State Society of CPAs.


Danita Ostling

Ernst & Young LLP

Danita Ostling is a partner in Ernst & Young LLP's Professional Practice Group, and since July 2007 has served as the Americas IFRS Technical Leader. As such, she is responsible for coordinating the firm's IFRS accounting guidance and consultative services within the Americas practice. She also is a member of the firm's Global IFRS Policy Committee.

Ms. Ostling earned her B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and is licensed in the states of New York and Texas.
