Watch On-Demand

The proposed and temporary regulations released by the IRS on 20 February greatly impact the backup withholding/Form 1099 and section 1441/Form 1042-S rules US withholding agents must comply with today.

These new requirements are effective 1 July 2014, with very limited transition relief.

Our panelists will be discussing the impact of these provisions on US withholding agents’ “business as usual” processes. In addition to discussing the actual changes, we will also focus on specific issues for the banking and capital markets industry, insurance companies and asset management.
