The proposed and temporary regulations released by the IRS on 20 February greatly impact the backup withholding/Form 1099 and section 1441/Form 1042-S rules US payors must comply with today.

These new requirements are effective 1 July 2014, with limited transition relief.

Our panelists will be discussing the impact of these provisions on US non-financial services companies. Procedures followed today by Accounts Payable and Treasury will be impacted by these changes, and so will intercompany payments and foreign pension plans.
