Ernst & Young ranked number one for “Financial Services Consulting Provider globally for financial consulting revenue"
London, 2 February 2012 - Ernst & Young is pleased to announce that it has been ranked number one “Financial Services Consulting Provider globally for financial consulting revenue in 2010,” by Kennedy Consulting Research & Advisory in its Financial Services Consulting Marketplace Report 2011.
John Weisel, Ernst & Young’s Global Financial Services Advisory Leader says: “This report recognizes the dedicated global financial services network that Ernst & Young has established. Kennedy observes that the financial services industry is returning to growth with evidence that businesses today are fundamentally altering their business strategy, customer models, operations and technology capabilities to achieve greater markets agility. More and more, they are looking for a single service provider to serve as a trusted advisor for their largest transformational programs.”
In addition to being ranked number one “Financial Services Consulting Provider globally for financial consulting revenue,” Ernst & Young has also been recognized at a regional level, being ranked number one “Financial Services Consulting Practice by revenue within the Latin America and Asia Pacific regions.” This reflects the investment that Ernst & Young has made in building a local service presence within these regions as part of its integrated global team.
Ernst & Young received an outstanding rating for its capabilities in financial consulting and strong ratings for its capabilities in strategy, operations and IT consulting. The report highlights a number of Ernst & Young’s key strengths, specifically related to its go to market approach, client focus and growth strategy:
- “In 2000 E&Y became the only public accounting firm with a separate business unit dedicated to the financial services marketplace. Today E&Y’s four global Financial Services Offices are connected by a Global FSO Markets Executive that sets a common global strategy, establishes key business priorities, and collaborates to serve global financial services clients as a single team.”
- “Go-to-market efforts and campaigns are structured around relevant business issues such as global regulatory reform, accounting change implementation, data convergence, FATCA, claims, policy and billing transformation, and finance transformation.”
- “The financial services consulting business globally is expected to nearly double by 2016.”
Notes Dan Daly, Vice President/Managing Director of Kennedy: “Ernst & Young has a well developed practice that can offer clients global knowledge and expertise at a local level, which has been achieved through strong emphasis on client focus and the practice’s growth strategy.”
