If finance fails to keep up, it will be limited in its strategic value and may actually see its level of influence diminish.

Finance needs the skills and competencies that will support business priorities and align those skills to be most effective.

While finance has finally earned a seat at the decision-making table, many organizations still see it more as a barrier than a facilitator of success.

If business priorities do not match those of the finance group, the business does not see the value that finance can provide. As a consequence, many senior business decision makers see a limit on the level Finance can reach in becoming a strategic advisor to the business.
