IPO update – Q3 2010

Highlights

  • Overall the global Q3 fundraising picked up by 13% from Q2. In Q3, 286 deals raised $52.7b compared to 311 deals worth US$46.8b in Q2.
  • The first three quarters of 2010 IPO activity exceeds total year 2009 levels.
  • Asia continues to dominate global IPO activity, accounting for 83% of dollar volume - raising US$43.8b in 173 IPOs. Chinese issuers alone made up over three-quarters (76%) of global fund raising (US$40.1 b in 110 deals
