Computer Program
The partners have made a five-year commitment of $150,000 to provide computer equipment and software to be divided equally between the public schools in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac.
This year, East End Primary School in Grand Cayman, and Creek Primary School in Cayman Brac, each received 10 Apple Macintosh computers, a laser printer, and wireless networking hardware and software. They have also received wireless digital camcorders to take advantage of the multimedia capabilities of the computer systems (as well as the creativity of the students).
According to partner Jude Scott, “Our objective at Ernst & Young is to make a substantial positive impact on the education and motivation of our young people. Our commitment is strong and our expectations are high, and, as we enter the third year of this program, we are pleased to report that our expectations have over exceeded.”
Other Contributions
