Regulatory Authorities

There are three main regulatory authorities on the Isle of Man: the Financial Supervision Commission, the Insurance and Pensions Authority and the Marine Administration.


Financial Supervision Commission


The Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) seeks to provide a framework of supervision and regulation within which licensed institutions can compete and develop their business. Find out more.

The Insurance and Pensions Authority (IPA) is committed to ensuring that all authorised insurers are properly managed, technically competent and adequately financed. Find out more.



Marine Administration


Through the Marine Administration the government provides encouragement and promotion of the shipping, yacht registration and management companies on the Island. Find out more.

Financial Ombudsman
