Providing assurance to pension schemes

At Ernst & Young we believe that providing assurance services to pension schemes is a specialist activity. To that end we were the first professional services firm to develop a bespoke pensions unit that addresses the unique risks and vulnerabilities of running a pensions scheme.

Pensions assurance and advisory services is a national practice of dedicated teams of specialists based both in our Centre of Excellence in Reading as well as satellite offices throughout the UK.

Our aim is to provide high quality assurance and advisory services to pension scheme trustees and sponsoring companies.

The types of services we offer range from pensions audit to tax support. Specifically our areas of expertise include:

We have extensive experience of working with both third party administrators and employer’s in-house administration team, and with schemes ranging in size from several billion to several million pounds.

Underlying all of this is our style of working – open and collaborative, with the minimum of fuss and no surprises.

It is this combination of dedicated knowledge, experience and resourcing which has led to our success. Today we audit over 1,000 pension funds with a combined value of over £90 billion and have advised some of the largest schemes in the UK on aspects of governance, managing risks and process improvement.
