Who can be nominated?
Anyone who is associated with a successful entrepreneur can nominate them as a candidate. This includes employees, customers, company advisors, family, friends and entrepreneurs are also encouraged to nominate themselves.
A nominee must be an owner (joint owners are eligible to enter), who is primarily responsible for the recent performance of a privately held business that is a least two years old; or alternatively, is a founder of a listed company who is still active in senior management or is still a major owner;
Receiving an Entrepreneur Of The Year award is more than a night of acclaim at an awards ceremony, or a trophy to display in a cabinet. Throughout the duration of the program – from initial nomination to final announcement – Entrepreneur Of The Year provides unrivalled opportunities for participants. These include local, national and international networking opportunities; media exposure; public relations and other media exposure; a boost to employee morale; and enhanced standing with customers and lenders.
Final determination of the categories for which awards will be presented will be decided by the judging panel based on the quantity and quality of the finalists.
Indonesia Entrepreneur Of The Year
The individual whose achievement in business most of all exemplifies the best characteristics of a successful entrepreneur. The winner will represent Indonesia at the World Entrepreneur Of The Year award gala in Monte Carlo and be inducted to the coveted Entrepreneur Of The Year hall of Fame and the World Entrepreneur Of The Year Academy.
Social Entrepreneur Of The Year
Founder of a sustainable organization (for profit or not-for-profit) that is catalyzing social transformation and change through innovative products and services. The Social Entrepreneur Of The Year Award will be invited to relevant Schwab Foundation and World Economic Forum activities. Separate judging criteria are applicable for the award.
Apart from Indonesia Entrepreneur Of The Year and Social Entrepreneur Of The Year Award, additional awards may be given by the independent panel of judges. Example of award given in previous years are:
Lifetime Achievement Award
An entrepreneur who has made a sustained contribution to the success of his/her business most of his/her working life.
Industry and Manufacturing Award
An entrepreneur who has made a significant contribution in the field of industry and manufacturing including automotive, consumer and industrial products.
Services Award
An entrepreneur who has made a significant contribution in the field of services including banking and financial services, tourism & hospitality, retail, trade and logistics.
Young Entrepreneur Award
An entrepreneur who is less than 40 years of age. The business needs to have been operating for at lease two years.

How is the awards process?Once the nomination phase has closed, a shortlist will be made who will each receive an on-site visit. From this stage the group of finalists will emerge.
Independent panel of judges comprising of past Entrepreneur Of the Year Award recipients and leading figures from the business and academic communities will select the award recipients.
The judges will then take over the process to determine recipients of award categories. Judging criteria include Entrepreneurial Spirit, Financial Performance, Strategic Direction, Global Impact, Innovation and Personal Integrity. Selecting the best of the best entrepreneurs is itself a challenge.
This is the only Indonesian business achievement recognition program that offers the opportunity to be present on the world stage at an international awards presentation. All award recipients enjoy the prestigious networking opportunities associated with such a global program.
