Ernst & Young announces top 13 entrepreneurs to vie for Indonesia Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009

Jakarta, Monday, 9 November 2009 — Ernst & Young announced the names of the 13 finalists from among whom an independent panel of judges will select the Entrepreneur Of The Year and Social Entrepreneur awards recipient for 2009. In June 2010, the recipient of the national award will join other top entrepreneurs from more than 50 countries for the annual Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year award in Monte Carlo. The 13 top Indonesian entrepreneurs are:

1.           Evelina Fadil Pietruschka of PT Asuransi Jiwa Adisarana WanaArtha,

2.           Hendy Setiono of PT Baba Rafi Indonesia,

3.           Kris Taenar Wiluan of PT Citra Tubindo Tbk.,

4.           Manoj Punjabi of MD Entertainment,

5.           Patrick Walujo of Northstar Pacific,

6.           Pia Alisjahbana of PT Gaya Favorit Press,

7.           Rizwan Halim of PT Travira Air,

8.           Sari Lestari Darmawan of PT Argenta Adhiloka Pratama,

9.           Timothy Siddik of PT Zyrexindo Mandiri Buana,

10.       Yulisianne Sulistiyawati  PT Pazia Pillar Mercycom,

The following three names are finalists for the Social Entrepreneur of the Year category

11.       Amir Panzuri of APIKRI,

12.       Erie Sudewo of Dompet Dhuafa Republika and

13.       Sukianto Lusli of Burung Indonesia.

In announcing the 2009 finalists, Ernst & Young Chief Executive Officer Giuseppe Nicolosi said “These finalists have demonstrated significant contributions to this country, by bringing their companies to their current level of success.  They cover many sectors and include industrialists, manufacturers, and service providers, thus proving the breadth and depth of business activity alive in Indonesia today. Employing more than to 30,000 people around Indonesia, the 2009 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalists represent an extraordinary group of business leaders who generate close to Rp. 14.5 trillion in annual turnover. These individuals have built and lead successful enterprises across a diverse stream of industries including distribution, manufacturing, insurance, entertainment, services, fair trade and environment conservatory organization.
