Program

This year EOY is celebrating its 23rd anniversary. In those years, the Entrepreneur Of The Year program has expanded to more than 135 cities in 50 countries with awards presented annually to over 900 of the world’s most successful and innovative entrepreneurs.

In Indonesia, the program was launched in 2001. Now in its ninth years, the program has evolved into a pre-eminent business award in the local business scene. It aims to celebrate entrepreneurial success and recognize the benefits that the entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial spirit bring to the Indonesian economy in terms of driving national growth and enhancing economic competitiveness in the global marketplace.

Since 2006, Ernst & Young is collaborating with the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship. It is a separate but parallel award program for Social Entrepreneur Of The Year. Social entrepreneurs are individuals who apply principles of entrepreneurship to find solutions to social challenges.

Dato' Sri Prof. DR. Tahir, MBA, Indonesia's 2011 Entrepreneur Of The Year

Dato' Sri Prof. DR. Tahir, MBA of Mayapada Group was announced as 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year at gala dinner at the Ritz-Carlton, Pacific Place on 29 November 2011. Another category award and Social Entrepreneur Of The Year award were also announced that night.

Tahir will go on to represent Indonesia at the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards in Monte Carlo in June 2012.

Who are the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Finalists?

12 entrepreneurs were announced as finalists of the Indonesia's 2011 Entrepreneur Of The Year awards, they are: Airlangga Hartarto of PT Fajar Surya Wisesa Tbk., Brian Yaputra of PT Estu Adimore, Hengky Setiawan of PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia, Gen. Ret. Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, MPA of PT Toba Sejahtra, Nyomananda of PT Media Indra Buana, Dr. Rizal Sini and Dr. Ivan Sini of PT Bundamedik and Dra. SB. Wiryanti Sukamdani, CHA of SAHID Group. The finalists for Social Entrepreneur Of The Year category are Aldi Haryopratomo of PT Rekan Usaha Mikro Anda, Tri Mumpuni of IBEKA and Veronica Colondam of YCAB Foundation.

On November 20th and 23rd, 2010, they met with the distinguished panel of judges in a judges and finalists private meeting at the Financial Club Jakarta.

Edwin Soeryadjaya of Saratoga Group, Indonesia's 2010 Entrepreneur Of The Year

Edwin Soeryadjaya of Saratoga Group was announced as 2010 Ernst & Young Indonesia Entrepreneur Of The Year at gala dinner held at the Ritz-Carlton, Pacific Place on 25 November 2010. Additional two award categories plus the Social Entrepreneur Of The Year award were also announced that night.
