An important feature of the Entrepreneur Of The Year® programme is that, each year, we invite our 24 finalists, as guests of Ernst & Young, to take part in an intensive international retreat where they can avail of networking opportunities, develop their skills, and share their expertise with their peers and their worldwide counterparts.

Each year we pick a location that takes people outside of their comfort zone and challenges them to think about their business and their markets in a different way. Previous CEO retreats have opened multiple business and learning opportunities for the participants, and this year will be no different, with India as the retreat location.

For the India retreat, we have been working closely with the Indian Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® programme to create valuable business networking opportunities between our Irish and Indian entrepreneurs. During the course of the retreat, there will be many opportunities to engage in workshops, meet with key industry leaders and develop contacts, which will help our Entrepreneur Of The Year® community to develop its own winning strategies.

 In recent years we have extended the invite to our wider EOY alumni community to attend the CEO retreat. The response has been overwhelming; with over 80 people attending the CEO retreat in Shanghai 2010. The CEO retreat presents a fantastic opportunity for our 24 finalists and EOY alumni to get to know their entrepreneurial peer group, create business partnerships and great friendships, and, ultimately, to help them develop their own business strategies for today’s global economy.
