Revenue's current approach to PAYE audits and investigations

Ernst & Young will be hosting a Breakfast Briefing on the topic, "Revenue's current approach to PAYE audits and investigations", on Thursday, 18 June 2009 at Ernst & Young, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2.

This briefing will be of interest to Chief Financial Officers and their teams tasked with ensuring that the employer is compliant with employment taxes, PRSI and the treatment of expenses.
We will cover Revenue concessions and practical treatment of correcting oversights and omissions.

More importantly we will highlight the areas of focus adopted by the Revenue in conducting payroll audits and the increasing sensitivity of this area in the current climate where Revenue are seeking to maximise exchequer returns. We will also deal with interest, penalties and mitigation of same under a voluntary disclosure.
