Transaction Advisory Services

We are witnessing a highly complex and fast-moving economic environment, with even the most successful businesses facing new and unexpected challenges which lead them to consider restructuring.

Often these challenges result from financial and commercial market pressure, stakeholder expectations and cash and capital constraints. As businesses focus on responding to these challenges, strategy around effective structuring is often neglected, giving rise to increasingly complex structures, which can lead to underperformance.

Our Restructuring practice can help address the financial performance and viability challenges currently facing companies throughout Ireland. Whether our clients are corporates, stakeholders or lenders, we establish and help implement financial and organisational solutions to enable them to adapt to changing local and global economic conditions.

Our team is fully integrated both within our wider Transaction Advisory Services practice and our firm as a whole – over 100,000 people in more than 140 countries worldwide. The team has a broad range of skills and experience to help in putting together the most effective restructuring plan, realise value, improve transaction quality and achieve your strategic goals.

Our services include:

  • Asset quality reviews: Our team has experience reviewing the carrying value of assets for a variety of financial institutions.
  • Corporate restructuring: If your business is facing financial difficulties or just wants to restructure its operations, our experience and knowledge can help. Find out more.
  • Debt advisory: Our team can work with your business to advise on the best use of available debt and explore the possibility of restructuring it more efficiently. Find out more.
  • Formal insolvency: A primary objective of a formal insolvency process is to improve the returns to a distressed company’s creditors. This may be from continued operation while the company restructures under the supervision of a court-appointed officer, and/or from the liquidation of some or all of the company’s assets. Find out more.
  • Insolvency planning : We offer a full range of services to secured lenders from before the enforcement process right through to the appointment of an insolvency practitioner and realisation of assets. We provide advice and can complete IBRs to help lenders decide whether to enforce or not, including advice prior to the acquisition of loans.
  • Loan sales: Our team has the knowledge and experience to analyse decisions around non-core portfolios, advising on preparing portfolios for sale, and running a sales process.
  • Strategic operational restructuring: Our team develops solutions principally for corporate clients that are experiencing reduced stock market valuations, underperformance of part or their entire portfolio, restricted access to capital markets, or pressure to restructure.
