Making a difference in the world

People everywhere are realizing more and more that the work we do has a big impact on their lives – on the companies they work for, on the investments they make, as well as on the capital markets and global economy as a whole. That’s why we aim to make a real difference to the communities in which we live and work. And use our business skills and resources to create positive social change.

Volunteer Projects

  • “Matan Campaign” - the foundation for all community activities at E&Y which has promoted the feeling of creativity and innovation within the firm. Today, more than 30 volunteers from different practices and positions help operate the playroom in the Children’s Oncology Department at Tel-Hashomer Hospital. This includes organizing birthday parties, holiday festivities, a parade on the International Childhood Cancer Day and more.
Furthermore, Ernst & Young collects money, once a year, from its employees and then matches the sum. The donations are transferred by Matan to worthy causes.

An additional project connected with “Matan” is “Tzeva”.

  • “Tzeva” is an association which aims to decrease the social gap within Israeli society. Over the years it has established many youth centers in deprived neighborhoods. These centers are positioned to promote equal opportunities in education, encourage volunteer work and the development of personal and communal leadership, as well as support the values of democracy, pluralism and endurance. Ernst & Young’s employees volunteer in the main Tzeva center helping to enrich the educational environment of deprived children.

  • Previous volunteer projects include the “Ort Project” which helped encourage mathematics and science studies among high-school students. Throughout the year, our volunteers guided students in writing their projects for a final contest. The winners were granted scholarships by the firm.

    Our Volunteers

Our volunteers are comprised of managers and employees of various practices. Together they have formed a group which does volunteer work and in return enjoys special benefits such as discounts to performances and invitations to exclusive events.

    Ernst & Young’s Policy

Community involvement is one of the means for maintaining our “people first” culture which incorporates team work, integrity, sincerity and mutual trust. Ernst & Young takes great measures to enhance its social activities by providing continuous encouragement and support. Each year, the employee whose volunteer work is most outstanding is recognized for his/her contribution.
