ProgramEntrepreneur Of The Year Since its inception, over 75 outstanding Indian entrepreneurs have been felicitated for their vision, courage and leadership in building successful global businesses. Past recipients of the Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards in India include Tulsi Tanti (Suzlon), Kumar Mangalam Birla (Aditya Birla Group), Sunil Bharti Mittal (Bharti Enterprises), Ratan Naval Tata (Tata Group), N. R. Narayana Murthy (Infosys), Brijmohan Lall Munjal (Hero Group) and Mukesh D. Ambani (Reliance). The Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year Award has become a symbol and measure of entrepreneurial success around the world. What started as an event to recognize the stars of the entrepreneurial galaxy in Northern Americas has now spread into a movement that is celebrated today across 135 cities in 50 countries with awards being presented annually to over 900 of the world’s most successful and innovative entrepreneurs. This program is the only business award with global dimensions and is underscored by a rigorous selection process, comprising financial and qualitative analysis of all nominees, independently conducted field interviews and the final selection by an independent panel of judges. The finalists chosen by the jury representing the country’s best entrepreneurial talent will be felicitated at a glittering celebratory banquet to be held in January 2010. The overall winner from India will join an illustrious list of contemporaries from 50 countries and will be inducted into The World Entrepreneur Of The Year Academy in Monte Carlo, Monaco. These winners also vie for the title of The World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award, which is decided by an eminent global jury.
