Our Fraud Investigation and Disputes Services

We help clients deal with the complex issues of fraud, regulatory compliance and business disputes that could otherwise detract from client efforts to achieve their company's potential. They draw on knowledge of fraud assessment, monitoring and prevention to identify issues that need addressing. This service is about helping organizations manage fraud risk more effectively and treat it as a critical business priority.

As part of this team you will:

  • Meet with company executives to understand their process around identifying and mitigating fraud-related risks.
  • Review policies and procedures and perform and document risk assessments.
  • Contribute to forensic due diligence and audit support.
  • Contribute to expert witness reports, including the review, analysis and verification of evidence.
  • Liaise with litigation teams and other legal professionals.
  • Learn about complex statistical analysis and modeling tools.
  • Use social network analysis and complex data-matching technology to de-construct a financial fraud or theft of intellectual property.
  • Review financial data and other documents, including emails, in the context of an internal investigation or corruption-related matter.

Our Risk Advisory service is the fastest growing practice hosting 1300 professionals including 20 Partners, across locations in India. We have Risk advisory relationship with 160 of the BSE300 companies. Our primary services include:

  • Enterprise-wide Governance, Risk and Compliance – We work from a board-level perspective to focus on risk across the entire client organization. Our goal is to help clients drive efficiency, effectiveness and balanced risk coverage across the organization's governance, risk and compliance activities.

    As part of this team you will work on:

    • Improving the risk assessment process and aligning risk management activities with business objectives to drive value. 
    • Enhancing coordination among risk and control groups to eliminate redundancies.
  • Internal Audit – We help improve the performance of clients' internal audit functions and increase the return on internal audit investment by focusing on value, cost and risk. This includes creating and implementing a "roadmap" for the internal audit process.

    As part of this team you will:

    • Advice on the design and implementation of improvements to address deficiencies/gaps in processes, controls that have been identified as a result of an internal audit risk assessment and help identify leading practices that can be implemented.
  • Actuarial - We combine global insight and local reach to help financial services and insurance clients develop sound strategies for today's business environment. As part of this team you will work on:
    • Actuarial transformation, actuarial review, actuarial operations, changes to financial reporting methods
  • Financial Services Risk Management: We assist clients in the banking and capital markets, insurance, asset management, energy and corporate treasury sectors in assessing and improving their risk and regulatory frameworks, integrating risk management into operations, grow revenue and manage risk to increase shareholder value.

    • Security and privacy through to review of controls over specific enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and third parties.

Transaction Tax:

We advise companies and private equity investors on all tax aspects of their transactions.   • Transaction Support Services – We assist clients achieve strategic goals such as acquiring or divesting of assets.

    As part of this team, you will:

    • Analyze the historical performance of companies targeted for sale by undertaking financial, accounting and operational analysis and interacting with the company’s senior management.
    • Analyze prospective financial information and forecasts and challenge assumptions, while also identifying any potential risk and identifying and validating opportunities.
    • Help prepare reports that may be shared with various stakeholders including clients and their lending institutions.
  • Project Finance – We work with public sector clients to procure infrastructure-related projects, and help private sector clients to structure and raise financing for deals. While the primary focus is on brand new initiatives, there’s a growing market in buying and selling projects that are already operational. In Project Finance we provide advisory in the areas of PPP, Policy Investment & Advisory and Debt Syndication.
