EY Human Capital Forum received a stupendous response at Hyderabad

Over 100 delegates from leading organizations participated in our Human Capital Forum organised in Hyderabad, in association with Amcham, on 26 November, 2013.

More than 10 thought leaders from the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation, large multinational companies, tax professionals shared their insights on the recent changes and trends in the world of global mobility.

An interactive session by KV Sarveswaran - Additional Central PF Commissioner, Andhra Pradesh & Orissa and P Rajasekhar Reddy - Regional PF Commissioner (I), Hyderabad discussed the Provident Fund provisions and compliance requirements pertaining to 'International Workers' and addressed participants' queries on the subject.

Eminent speakers like Rakesh Singhania - Senior Vice President Finance, Wells Fargo India Solutions Pvt Ltd., Ravichander Ramamurthi - Head-Finance, Broadridge India, Simachal Mohanty, Director –Taxation, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories along with EY speakers, Pravat Jena (Tax Partner), Shankar Bala (Senior Advisor) and Alok Agrawal (Tax Director) enlightened the audience on the key tax challenges associated with various inbound deputation structures and recommended measures to overcome them effectively.

A stimulating session on Challenges and Best Practices in Mobility by Dr P Kiranmai Dutt - Head Human Resources, AMD Europe, Middle East Asia, Africas and India, Mukund Menon – Regional Lead HR Leader, International Paper (India) Pvt. Ltd., Phanindra Kuruganty, Head - HR Compliance, Tech Mahindra and Sakaar Anand - Vice President, Human Resources - CA Technologies along with Sonu Iyer (Human Capital Services Leader, EY) discussed the factors that companies need to consider while planning international assignments keeping in view both the employer's and employees' needs.

The forum also unanimously realized that tax issues like permanent establishment, service tax and so on are intertwined with global mobility issues, during the sessions with Jayesh Sanghvi (International Tax Services Leader, EY), Pravat Jena and Shankar Bala.
