Dharmesh Kothari has recently joined as the Global Mobility Leader at Genpact.  Dharmesh has more than 15 years of experience in Global Taxation, Immigration laws, Social Security Laws and Governance having worked with diverse organizations such as Goldman Sachs, Siemens, Capgemini and EY.

Dharmesh is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) from India Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Ganesh Raj

Ganesh heads the firm’s Tax Policy initiatives and as a Partner, he primarily focuses on Infrastructure, Industrial & Consumer vertical. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Ganesh had been involved in diverse tax policy, international taxation and corporate taxation issues across the industry in the past 18 years. His functional experience includes corporate tax planning, structuring cross- border investments and transactions, and joint venture negotiations.  He also anchors some key direct tax litigation engagements. His role as Leader Policy Advisory Group keeps him engaged on a regular basis in dialogue with senior Revenue Officials with regard to tax and fiscal policy issues.

Harishanker Subramaniam

Harishanker (Hari) leads our Indirect Tax Practice. Hari qualified as a Masters Degree in Chemistry, but became a licensed customs broker and streamed into indirect tax consulting. He has been an entrepreneur, has hands on experience in the industry and Big 4 for over 25 years. 

Hari has advised and assisted various multinational companies on resolution of import pricing at arms length on customs special valuation representations, export incentive programs, besides assisting in setting up of Export Oriented Units (EOU), Software Technology Parks (STP) and Special Economic Zones (SEZ). He also holds expertise in advising EPC companies for bid evaluation on contracts and highlighting the key impact from an indirect tax perspective.  He has been involved across diverse industries namely oil & gas, automotive, telecom, information technology, media & entertainment, infrastructure & real estate, advising clients on cross border transactions, tax structuring, tax efficient supply chains and so on.

Jasbir Singh Kochar

Head Compensation Management, Tata Steel Limited

As Head Compensation Management, Mr. Kochar is responsible for Domestic & International Compensation including Global Mobility and HR Services (HR Policy, HR Administration). As a part of this role, Mr. Kochar is responsible for conceptualising & streamlining policies and practices and standardizing the principles related to compensation and benefits, across all overseas entities, which are part of Tata Steel (India & South East Asia). Mr. Kochar is also responsible for annual increase, performance bonus, benefits and market correction for Tata Steel India; he also takes active part in analysis of the market and business performance trend for Tata Steel South East Asia units and proposing annual increment, performance bonus for those units.

Vaishali Ahuja

Vaishali Ahuja is the head of HR - steering the human resources function for the company right from the start-up phase.

She is responsible for entire gamut of HR processes, activities and systems for BMW India and BMW India Financial Services with focus on employee retention, aligning HR to business strategy, building company culture aligned to group values keeping the local needs in mind, implementing global performance assessment system, operational areas such as expats management, payroll, training and compensation management.

Vijay Iyer

Vijay leads the Transfer Pricing practice at EY India. With an experience spanning to nearly two decades, Vijay has been advising clients on domestic and international tax matters. Over the past eleven years, he has focused on Transfer Pricing as his area of specialization and has serviced a large number of multinationals operating in India. Vijay is actively involved in Transfer Pricing Litigation, both as an arguing counsel and as an advisor assisting clients in devising their litigation strategy.

Vijay has been rated as one of the World’s Leading Transfer Pricing Advisors for India by the Legal Media Group’s Guide to the World’s Leading Tax Advisers.

He is the author of various transfer pricing publications and regular contributor of transfer pricing articles to well known publication. He is regularly cited as one of the World’s leading tax and transfer pricing advisors.

Gagan Sabharwal

Gagan Sabharwal is Deputy Director of NASSCOM in charge of International Trade issues covering - Mobility issues (Visas & Totalisation), International Taxation matters, International Agreements and Policy Affairs.

Gagan has been with NASSCOM since 2008. He has rich experience of close to 18 years out of which 12 years has been with IT BPO industry. Before joining NASSCOM, he was managing APAC region for NIIT Ltd. He has been part of various IT businesses that specialised in IT Products, Services and e-Learning solutions and worked extensively in EMEA and APAC region.

At NASSCOM he represents industry’s views at various multilateral and bilateral forums. He is a regular at Government meetings for WTO, GATS, FTA, DTAA, Totalisation and regional agreements. Manages relationship with various International Government & Agencies to ensure that environment remains conducive to do business in. Issues related with major markets of the industry such as US, UK, EU & Canada take up most part of his work. He is also in charge of NASSCOM’s Emerging Markets initiative.

Sonu has over nineteen years of experience in the area of Human Capital-Global Mobility. Her areas of specialization include Tax and regulatory aspects of Employee Mobility including Immigration Planning, Exchange Control, formulation of Global Mobility policies for Inbound and Outbound assignees, Tax Equalization Policies, Tax Planning and Compliance, Employee Deployment Structures  and related framework of International Tax, Home & Host Country Tax and Social Security Regulations.

She has been involved with thought leadership initiatives in the area of Indian Social Security (Provident Fund provisions) touching Globally Mobile Employees and is regular speaker at various tax seminars and conferences in India. She also leads the Diversity and Inclusiveness (D&I) initiative in India for EY.
