Programme overview The programme in Souther Africa was launched in 1998 and has now been launched in Eastern Africa as of 2011.
The Master entrepreneur category award was designed to honour individuals whose outstanding achievements have made them the world's most successful entrepreneurial business leaders.
The Emerging entrepreneur category, introduced in 2005, was created to single out and acknowledge individuals who have shown exceptional tenacity and determination in building a successful enterprise. In the face of adversity and significant challenges, they helped fuel economic growth in South Africa.
