Daniel Scott
Regional Managing Partner, Financial Services 

Dan is the managing partner and asset management sector leader for the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands region of Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office. He is also a member of the Ernst & Young Global Hedge Fund Steering Commitee, which provides strategic direction to the global practice. Dan has been with Ernst & Young for more than 25 years and has extensive asset management experience. He serves several multinational asset management clients. Among his area of focus are audit and advisory services, including structuring and servicing complex global and offshore funds. 

Dan received a B.S. in accounting from the University of Tampa. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is currently registered and licensed as a CPA in the State of Florida. Dan is currently a Board Member of the Cayman Islands Stock Exchange and also a Member of the Cayman Islands National Advisory Council. He is a past President of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA).

Rohan is an audit partner in the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands region of Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office. He is a member of the firm'sHedge Funds Practice Management Committee. Rohan has more than 16 years of audit experience in the financial services sector serving numerous large hedge funds, private equity funds, special purpose vehicles and banks. He is Deputy Chairman of the Cayman Islands Chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA) and secretary of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA). 

Rohan has served on various government, statutory and service organization boards and committees. Currently, he is treasurer of the Cayman Islands’ Chapter of the Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), the secretary and a past president of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA) and a member of the Board of Governors for the University College of the Cayman Islands.

Jeffrey W. Short
Partner, Financial Services

Jeffrey is a partner in the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands region of Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office. He has more than 13 years of experience with Ernst & Young, the last 10 of which have been in the financial markets sector serving asset managers, hedge funds and private equity funds.

Jeffrey graduated with a Bachelor of Science, Accountancy, from Babson College. He is a Member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Massachusetts Institute of CPA’s, and the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA).

Mike Mannisto
Partner, Financial Services

Mike is a partner in the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands region of Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office. He has more than 14 years experience with the firm, with more than the past 10 spent in the Cayman Islands office. Mike services a wide variety of offshore financial services clients and focuses primarily on offshore funds and multi-jurisdictional fund structures. He participates in a number of Ernst & Young global hedge fund committees, including technical committees.

Mike graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in accounting from Lakehead University. He is a Canadian chartered accountant and a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mike is also a past president of the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA) and has served as a member of a number of related committees.

Roy Bailey
Partner, Restructuring

Roy Bailey is a partner in the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands region of Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office and acts as Head of the BBC Restructuring Practice. He has more than 27 years of experience advising government and corporate clients throughout the world, covering a diverse range of industry and service sectors, the past seven spent with our Ernst & Young London office. Roy also acts as court appointed officeholder in respect of financially distressed companies and as liquidator of solvent companies in a number of countries worldwide.

Roy is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Fellow of the Association of Business Recovery Professionals, an Associate of the Institute of Administrative Management, a member of INSOL Europe and an Authorized Insolvency Practitioner. He was awarded the Insolvency Practitioners Association prize for first place in the UK Joint Insolvency Examination Board exams in 1991.

Baron E. Jacob
Partner, Financial Services

Baron is a partner in the Bahamas, Bermuda, British Virgnin Islands and Cayman Islands region of Ernst & Young's Financial Services Office. He has nearly 13 years of accounting experience, including 10 years in the Cayman Islands. Baron also spent 2 years working in Ernst & Young’s San Francisco office, where he focused on providing audit and tax solutions to onshore investment vehicles such as hedge funds and venture capital companies. His areas of responsibility currently include offshore fund structures, offshore banking clients and trust companies and captive insurance companies and other sophisticated investment vehicles.

Baron graduated from the University of South Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business, with a specialization in accounting, and a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a specialization in marketing. He is licensed as a Certified Public Accounting in Illinois and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA) in the State of Illinois and the Cayman Islands Society of Professional Accountants (CISPA).
