2008 Entrepreneur Of The Year Award in Kazakhstan On 12 March 2009 Nurlan Smagulov, President of Astana Group, has been named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year 2008 in Kazakhstan. Nurlan Smagulov is the founder of Astana Group holding, which comprises three main business segments – automotive dealership, grain production and trading, and development. He will represent Kazakhstan at the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards in May 2009 in Monte Carlo, along with 50 national winners from around the globe. Among other award recipients recognized for their exceptional entrepreneurial skills were: - Anatoly Popelyushko, Chairman of the Board, Rakhat – Leader of domestic market award
