International School of Luxembourg (ISL) sponsorship

Ernst & Young Luxembourg is pleased to contribute to the development of the International School of Luxembourg (ISL) which provides an outstanding education in a caring international environment, inspiring all the students to reach their true potential and to act as responsible participants in a global society.
Ernst & Young has been supporting ISL’s technology infrastructure since 2000. Today, ISL students use technology at every age level and in every classroom. Information and communication technology (ICT) literacy provides them with the necessary skills to learn independently, to solve problems, to communicate, to innovate and to collaborate.

Founded in 1963, ISL is an independent, non-profit, university-preparatory school welcoming 970 students of more than 45 nationalities aged 3 to 18. ISL is strongly committed to developing an international and multi-cultural perspective. The students participate in a rigorous and innovative academic program which is accredited by the European Council of International Schools and the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (USA). ISL has also been an authorized IB World School since 1990.
ISL has always been renowned for applying Best Practice teaching methods.  ISL also provides many opportunities for students to reach their true potential with a wide range of extracurricular activities offered, including sports, music, debate and drama. Students also produce a school newspaper and yearbook and have been instrumental in establishing the Global Issues Network, which raises awareness about and encourages action with current global issues.

“ISL is grateful to Ernst & Young for its generous support, helping us pilot and promote new approaches to learning in Luxembourg by using each new generation of hardware and software, and thus remain a school of the future”, comments Chris Bowman, ISL’s Director.

“Ernst and Young’s sponsorship of the International School of Luxembourg lies with our idea of being socially responsible and of having a workplace opened to the world around us. It shows our willingness to encourage young people in their education to succeed in their careers. At EY we believe that our support for educational life goes far beyond financial support”, adds Alain Kinsch, Country Managing partner of Ernst & Young, Luxembourg.
